McLemore Konschnik LLP has chosen Cystic Fibrosis Trust as its inaugural Charity of the Year. The law firm has set a target to raise £20,000 for the charity in 2023.
Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity dedicated to uniting for a life unlimited for everyone affected by cystic fibrosis (CF) – an incurable, life-limiting, genetic condition affecting more than 10,900 people in the UK. People with cystic fibrosis experience a build-up of thick sticky mucus in the lungs, digestive system and other organs, causing a wide range of challenging symptoms affecting the entire body. They can have to take over 40 pills a day, plus undergo hours of gruelling physiotherapy just to stay well. Cystic Fibrosis Trust funds cutting-edge research, campaigns for better standards of care and provides vital information and support to people with CF and their loved ones.

Recent years have seen tremendous advancements in treatment, but those breakthroughs are not a cure-all and are not available for everyone. The Trust continues to have an enormously important role to play in helping those with CF live life to the fullest.
